Transportation security has always
been an important issue at SJ Transportation Co., Inc.
due to the nature of the materials that we transport.
However, in aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001,
security has developed a new urgency in the transportation
of hazardous materials and hazardous waste. The very nature
of the industry leads to an inherently greater risk of
security-related issues.
With this thought in mind, the following policy was developed
and implemented to meet the needs of our company, customers
and the general public. This policy addresses the special
concerns of each phase of a shipment from origin to destination.
